We are contacting customers who may have made a pre-lodged import declaration on CDS between 11:04am and 12:11pm Wednesday 23rd April.
We are sorry that the error resulted in a number of declarations being flagged for documentary checks incorrectly. We have now identified and corrected the error so no further declarations will be affected.
If you submitted a pre-lodged import declaration between 11:04am and 12:11pm on the 23rd, and it has not yet arrived, you may wish to invalidate and resubmit those declarations.
There is no need to inform the National Clearance Hub (NCH), we are aware of the issue and are working through affected declarations as quickly as we can.
There may be some delays and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

24th April Update:

The NCH is currently clearing down the backlog caused by this IT Incident. To speed up the process please have any import pre-lodged and non- arrived declarations invalidated and re-submit to enable their clearance to take place. It will support the NCH in clearing down the remaining declarations ASAP.
